Gavi pinches the ball off Ceballos allowing Lewandowski to lead a counter-attack. He plays the ball out wide to Gavi, who whips a great pass across the face of goal to Pedri, who can’t miss from point-blank range.

Hard to see a way back for Real now.

Modric, who struggled to impact the action in this one, makes way for Ceballos.

Barcelona are calmly passing the ball around the midfield, controlling possession and keeping it away from Real’s players. The few times in the last 10 minutes that Real have gotten on the ball, they’ve struggled to find any openings to attack.

Over the whole game, Barca currently lead possession 56 per cent to 44 and shots nine to two.

Busquets very casually sets up Lewandowski, who has a very tight angle to shoot on goal. Courtois rushes out to meet him and blocks his effort.

At the moment, Real do not look likely to haul themselves back into this match.

Absolutely brilliant play by Balde, whose first touch releases him past Carvajal down the left wing. He plays a lovely cross for Dembele who has plenty of space to shoot, but Courtois comes up big with a crucial save.

Carlo Ancelotti sending on Rodrygo for Camavinga at half-time both an admission that he got his starting line-up wrong, and that Real Madrid need something very different now at 0-2 down.

Rodrygo comes on to begin the second half, taking the place of Camavinga.

Gavi’s opener was his first senior Clasico goal, but not his first against Real Madrid… he famously scored two fantastic solo goals against Real when still aged just 12 in the 2016 La Liga Promises tournament:
